I have an awesome Mt. Crested Butte wedding to share with you today. Captured by Joel Matuszczak this September wedding features the first snowfall of this past winter! Not being one to follow tradition, Sue and Chris wanted to create a wedding day that would be fun and memorable for their friends and family. They decided to have their ceremony in the very spot they met, on top of a mountain, followed by a reception in the local museum.
I loved the mismatched bridesmaid dresses in magenta to purple paired with sunflower bouquets.
Due to a large amount of snowfall the morning of their wedding, the ceremony location was moved lower on the mountain, but attendees still were treated to a chair lift ride to the ceremony site. I love that Sue and Chris were all smiles despite the fact it snowed an inch an hour the morning of their wedding day. The newlyweds grabbed their down jackets and umbrella and headed up the chair for their ceremony.
The couple wanted a really different, memorable party for their friends and family; so their reception was held in a museum and guests capped off the evening at the annual Vinotok Celebration. Sue and Chris’ guests certainly won’t be forgetting this night!
