Ciera’s family has a cherished tradition: before the bride walks down the aisle, a lucky penny is carefully tucked into her shoe. Rooted in the old rhyme, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe," this ritual began when her great-grandmother received a 1917 penny on her wedding day. That very coin has been passed down through the generations—from grandmother to mother, and now to Ciera—serving as a timeless token of love, luck, and enduring family legacy.
