Katie and Josh invited one attendee, Chewy, their Bernese mountain dog. Katie’s one requirement was to be surrounded by golden aspen trees. Late September in Crested Butte, is the peak for fall colors. The couple, photographer Joel Matuszczak, the officiant Tyler Hansen and I drove to the top of Kebler Pass and with baskets of flowers in hand, we went on a hike until we came across the perfect ceremony site. We found a small knoll, surrounded by fallen trees, gold leaves and views for miles. Katie and Josh slipped into their wedding attire and exchanged vows on a boho rug while Chewy chewed on a stick.
Following the ceremony, the couple shared cocktails at the Public House and dined on Lil’s takeout sushi in the comfort of their VRBO located in downtown Crested Butte.
Katie and Josh, you both are amazing, sweet and so inspiring. It was a joy to have met and worked with you. Cheers to a beautiful friendship, marriage and prioritizing what is most important to you.
