Their love story
During the initial consultation call, one of the first things Olena told Ciera was that she fell in love with Bobby on the soccer field. Olena and Bobby went to high school together, and their modern Crested Butte wedding in mid-June took place at Red Mountain Ranch, filled with views overlooking Mt. Crested Butte and lupine flowers galore was the ideal place to tie the knot.
Dress and design
Olena chose a modern, simple, and elegant Sarah Seven dress with a plunging back. She tied her look together with a high ponytail, donning a long black, hand-dyed silk ribbon. The modern style proved to be a staple as each member of the bridesmaids had a black leather jacket. Olen’s showed hand-drawn florals and the words “My love not fade away,” across the back.
The couple shared their first look in the woods where Olena spent her summers growing up. The ceremony and first look location was not only drop-dead gorgeous but held sentimental value being Olena’s aunt and uncle’s private property.
Black colored accents were present in the bouquets as well as throughout the greenery and white florals that decorated the ceremony, courtesy of Dahlia Florals. A triangle arch and wooden benches added to the sophisticated style that let the gorgeous views take the reigns. Olena’s uncle was the officiant, adding to the sweet nostalgia of the day! Following the ceremony, the couple made their way to enjoy cocktails with their loved ones on the deck of the house and were treated to a delightful surprise when the solo guitarist who played throughout cocktail hour emerged from the trees and played their favorite song as they walked towards the house.
After the cocktail hour, the reception took place at West Wall Lodge, spanning the lobby, bar, and deck with bistro lights for dancing! Who doesn’t love some bistro lights? Guests were greeted with stones that had been hand-selected by Olena’s aunt, who lettered their names in calligraphy across each one. Place settings consisted of industrial flatware as well as an organic napkin and menu card wrapped in black velvet ribbon, tying in the bride’s accented style.
